About Falling Immortality—

So when Felicity Farren, widow-at-large, struts into his office asking him to solve the two-year-old murder of her husband Artis, she intrigues him. When Casey starts digging, he learns the murder isn’t what it seems to be and he doesn’t have a big enough shovel to unearth the truth. And to top it all off, his former rival at the police department, Greg Gilman, is determined to disrupt his investigation. Casey’s challenge is to learn what really happened to Artis, and why Gilman can’t seem to remove his head from his butt. And he’ll need all of his wits to complete the task.

My Best Friend

My best friend is crazy. Not just a little crazy, but so crazy that he ought to be in a straitjacket, tied to a bed, inside a room with padded walls. But I love him. God help me, I love him. He does provide a source of entertainment in this age of cellphones, iPads, Blu-Ray players, and other electronic gizmos too various to name individually. The crazy bit probably knocks a few years off my life, but I have a few years to give, and what he often lacks in diplomacy, he makes up for with his follow through.

As long as I’ve known him, he’s never backed down from a challenge. In fact, the bigger the challenge, the more he rises toward the occasion like a rose bush popping out of the snow. Not that his life is rosy. He’s been chased by pimps, dealers, deadbeats, hookers, murderers, rapists, and psycho ex-girlfriends that probably need to be locked up as much as he does. Not that I can blame the exes, though. He looks normal enough on the outside, and some women have even gone so far as to call him attractive, my wife included. It must be a case where the good often seek out the bad, and he has bad written all over his infamous graphic tees that he never leaves home without.

He provides me with a sense of adventure, and I often provide him with a sense of sanity. In other words, it’s a relationship built to last, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
