Guest Interview: Zach Kalusky

Today is my stop on the Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum blog tour! I’m very excited to be interviewing Zach from Xavier Paranormal Investigators. Before that though, I’d like to point you to my 5-star review of Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum. I truly enjoyed the book – which followed as Zach and his crew ventured into Rosewood Hospital. A great mix of suspense, thrills and the unexplained.

But I don’t want to give it all away! Oh, wait, I DO! That’s right, I’m going to give away a FREE EBOOK! But more on that later.

Now, I ran into Zach the beginning of the second day they were at Rosewood, and I’m excited to see how the first night went, and perhaps get some inside info as well! Here’s what he had to say:

Tricia Kristufek:  We’re here on site at the Rosewood Psychiatric Hospital where the Xavier Paranormal Investigators and the Demon Hunters have just spent the night. They were the first people to spend the night on these grounds in over 100 years! Zach, thanks for taking the time to do this interview.

Zach Kalusky:  Tricia, thanks for having me on your show.

TK:  So the first night investigation, how’d it go?

ZK:  It got pretty crazy, Tricia. We had both our psychic Hunter Martin, as well as the Demon Hunter psychic, Sazsha—um, Sazsha walk through. Both seemed to make contact with different spirits.

TK:  Amazing! What did they find?

ZK:  [runs a hand through his hair] It’s all still pretty confusing, Tricia. There seem to be multiple spirits haunting Rosewood. They seem to be in conflict with each other, and we’re still trying to put all the pieces together.

TK:  Multiple spirits! That sounds exciting! What areas are you going to be focusing on today?

ZK:  Well in addition to going through all the video we’ve compiled—oh, between you and I—one of our guys already discovered an image of a full-bodied apparition! So we’ve got to verify that as well as some other discoveries we’ve made and try to piece this case together.

TK:  If you can convince these spirits to leave, what do you think will become of Rosewood?

ZK:  Well over the years, Tricia, the state of Illinois has tried to utilize the building in a variety of ways. It’s got great “bones” as they say. All brick and wood. It would make a great museum or maybe they could use it as a school. Hopefully we will clear the place of ghosts and have an opportunity to see. [laughs]

TK:  Your relationship with your show’s producer Sara Chen has been reported to be strained as of late. Could you comment on that?

ZK:  Strained huh? I don’t know how—where did you hear that?

TK:  Oh, well. Call it a hunch. Are both groups getting along well? I mean, there has to be some kind of tension there, right? You and Bryce, perhaps?

ZK:  Wow, Tricia. I thought I was your inside source…sounds like you might have another one?

TK:  That’s not an answer, Mr. Kalusky.

ZK:  You’re right. You’re right. Bryce and I are getting by fine. We’re both just used to…conducting investigations a bit differently.

TK:  So there was another fire here last night. Is there a connection between the fires and the haunting?

ZK:  We’re thinking right now that there must be. We’re just not sure how or why the fires are connected. Supposedly there were many arson fires in Chicago and in Pullman back at that time. We’re working on a lead that they may be connected to this case.

TK:  You’ve said that you called in Hunter Martin. What does he bring to XPI?

ZK:  As you know, Hunter is one of the most respected psychics in Chicago. Despite keeping a low profile, he’s helped the police solve over two-hundred cases. I ca—we call Hunter in on many of our cases and he’s been an amazing help with

TK:   Do you have any romance in your future? I detected a little spark between you and Patrizia, I think.

ZK:  Well. [blushes] You know w-whenever two teams get together and there are people, ya know, of the opposite sex…there are always bound to be rumors.

TK:   Before you go, can you tell us what we can expect from the next XPI episode?

ZK:  I think we’ll just take it one case at a time for now, Tricia. I know Sara has been pushing for a road trip. Some haunted town in Kansas or something…

TK:   That’s all I have time for today. Thanks so much, Zach, for taking the time to answer these questions for me! I look forward to featuring you on my blog and following up after the investigation is over!

ZK:  I will Tricia. Just please keep this on the down low until tomorrow. We don’t want any of the major media shows getting wind we’re here or we’ll have a circus on our hands. Good Morning Chi-Town will have this place crawling with fans.

TK:  We wouldn’t want that. Mums the word until then!

I’m VERY interested to see what happens next on XPI. Until then, to get you all caught up on the action, I’m going to giveaway a FREE EBOOK copy! Fill out the form below with your name and email, and one lucky winner will get to see just how Zach’s time in Rosewood plays out. GOOD LUCK!
